Dear family,

It is with sadness that I notify you of the death of Paul Lockhart’s (Kay) daughter, Paula McDonald Lockhart Hand.  The obituary is in the Courier Journal, May 21st.

A memorial service will be held 5pm, Tuesday at St. Luke’s Chapel in the Episcopal Church Home, 7504 Westport Rd, followed by a celebration of Paula’s life at the Indian Springs Clubhouse from 6 to 9pm., 3408 Indian Lake Dr.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Episcopal Church Home, the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.

Happy early Derby Day.  A special place for this months’ family dinner.  The childhood home of Kurt and Kay.  It is now called the Yearling Club.  Mary has reserved the club for our May dinner.  The dinner will be catered and is a BYOB.  Cost is $15/person payable to Mary the night of.  She says, with this family “CASH ONLY”  J, just kidding, she will take your debit card two weeks early.  So, here are the details.

DATE:                  Thursday, May 10^th (ALWAYS THE SECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH)

TIME:                   6pm

LOCATION:        Yearling Club, 4309 W. Broadway

MENU:                Catered

A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. 

He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the rabbit jumps right in front of the car

The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal lover,  pulls over and gets out to see what has become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit is the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD .

The driver feels so awful   that he begins to cry.  A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over.

She steps out of the car and asks the man what’s wrong.

“I feel terrible,” ! he explains, “I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny with my car and KILLED HIM.”

The blonde says,”Don’t worry.”

She runs to her car and pulls out a spray can. She walks over to the limp, dead  Easter Bunny, bends down, and sprays the contents onto him.

The  Easter Bunny  jumps up,
waves its paw at the two of them
and hops off down the road.

Ten feet away he stops,
turns around and waves again,
he hops down the road another 10 feet,
turns and waves,

hops another ten feet,
turns and waves,

and repeats this again and again and again and again,
until he hops out of sight.

The man is astonished.
He runs over to the woman and demands,

“What is in that can?
What did you spray on the Easter Bunny ?”

The woman turns the can around
so that the man can read 
the label.
It says..

(Are you ready for this?)

(Are you sure?)
(You know you’re gonna be sorry)

(Last chance)

(OK, here it is)

It says,

“Hair Spray
Restores life to dead hair,
and adds permanent wave.”

Unhappy Muslims

I have to admit…this is brilliant…and never heard it put this way…so succinct and to the point…plain and simple.

The Muslims are not happy!

They’re not happy in Gaza .
They’re not happy in Egypt .
They’re not happy in Libya .
They’re not happy in Morocco .
They’re not happy in Iran .
They’re not happy in Iraq .
They’re not happy in Yemen .
They’re not happy in Afghanistan .
They’re not happy in Pakistan .
They’re not happy in Syria .
They’re not happy in Lebanon .

So, where are they happy?

They’re happy in Australia .
They’re happy in England .
They’re happy in France .
They’re happy in Italy .
They’re happy in Germany .
They’re happy in Sweden .
They’re happy in the USA .
They’re happy in Norway .

They’re happy in every country that is not Muslim.

And who do they blame?

Not Islam.
Not their leadership.
Not themselves.

THEY BLAME THE COUNTRIES THEY ARE HAPPY IN!

AND THEY WANT TO CHANGE THEM TO BE LIKE THE COUNTRY THEY CAME FROM WHERE THEY WERE UNHAPPY.
